Aikido bewegt den ganzen Körper und trainiert neben den Aspekten Konzentration (Nen), Kondition, Beweglichkeit, Körperbeherrschung auch die Wahrnehmung, die Verantwortung und das Feingefühl. Daraus folgt auch der achtsame Umgang miteinander.
Im Einlassen auf den Fluss und die Richtung der Energie (Ki) entstehen die harmonischen, kreisförmigen Bewegungen. Gleich dem stabilen, kraftvollen Zentrum eines Kreisels lenkt der Aikidoka diese Bewegungen. Aus diesem Zentrum wächst die Einheit von Körper, Geist und Seele. Aikido ist nicht nur auf der Matte, sondern in allen Lebensbereichen anwendbar.
